Santa...I want Dump Truck!!!

Christmas time is so much fun, and so hectic at the same time!!! We had Christmas with Rob's family on the 22nd. Then we went to Indy for Rob's extended family Christmas on Christmas Eve. And because I want the kids to wake up at home Christmas morning we drove over to Indy and back all on the same day!!! We had Christmas morning at our house, then headed to Zanesville and had brunch and Christmas with my family, then over to my aunt and uncle's for the extended family!

We had SO much fun this year!! Cole only ever asked for one thing...a dump truck! Santa thought he had been a good boy this year so he brought him 2!!! A big one and a remote control one. I did learn that Santa might have to start bringing 2 of everything...the kids fought over the grocery cart for the first few weeks. Aidan loved it because he was just starting to walk and he used it for support.
We have so many pictures that I will have to only pick a few to share.

Gymnastics!

We signed Cole up for Gymnastics in the fall. Since I did gymnastics I thought he might enjoy it. Plus it was a great way for him to burn off some energy. The fun part was 2 of our neighbors were in his class. It wasn't like "REAL" gymnastics, they mostly focused on coordination skills and fitness. Just keeping the kids active. His favorite part was the trampoline. He always would say My Jump!! The first couple classes he was WILD!! Didn't listen and ran around like crazy. I thought for a minute it was going to be more of a workout for mommy...not that it would have been a bad thing. By the 3rd or 4th week he was starting to get the hang of it and listen and wait his turn. The classes lasted for 10 weeks so we finished just before Christmas. Since then he's been to 2 birthday parties at the gym and had a blast!!!

Check out his mad gymnastics skills!!
Warm up time...you can see Mommy is doing it...Cole usually just watched everyone else.

Thanksgiving

This year as we have done several years in the past we went to Massachusetts to Rob's dad's B & B. The drive there was LONG and very comical at times. It all started when it took us about 2 hours to get from Columbus to Mt. Gilead...it should have only taken about 1/2 hour! The kids were getting restless and hungry so we stopped at McDonald's. Aidan was so hungry he was packing the food away and started gagging and proceeded to throw up all over the table. NICE! Cole would not sit still and kept talking to the people sitting behind us. And Aidan thought it would be fun to squeeze the juice box all over both he and I. Needless to say the start of the trip was rough.

We got back in the car and the traffic was STILL slow moving. Thank god, we have the DVD player!! We stopped for gas around Midnight and by this point Cole was still awake and delirious!!! He was saying bye-bye to the digital signs on the side of the building! Rob and I were laughing!!!

We finally made it to MA by 5 or 6 am. The boys slept for a little while once we got there, but then they were ready to go. We had a great Thanksgiving Dinner at Rob's Aunt and Uncle's house. That night Joanne, Kathleen and I braved the crowds and went shopping at midnight at the outlets!! We were there for 2 hours and only went in 4 stores!! But we got some GREAT deals!! Later on Friday we went back and did more shopping while the boys were napping. The good thing was I got about 90% of my Christmas shopping done there.

We ended up leaving to come back home on Saturday...the boys were ready for their own beds and some structure. Rob and I both said the best they were was in the car. Before we left we took a train ride through the little towns and Santa was there to see the kids. The boys loved the train.

Getting on the train!!!

Aidan, so happy to be on the train!

Cole was very serious looking out the window as the train was moving!

Cole was not sure about sitting on Santa's lap, but did tell him he wanted a dump truck for Christmas. Aidan was terrified that's why there are no pictures of him near Santa.

Riley's Birthday Party

My cousin Lance's oldest daughter Riley, had a birthday party at the bowling alley in Zanesville. We had so much fun taking Cole bowling for his first time!!!! Cole really enjoyed rolling the ball and seeing it SLOWLY go down the lane to hit the pins. We were thankful for the bumpers!! But I think he had more fun eating the cupcakes and playing the video games to win tickets.

Trick or Treat???

Halloween was so much fun this year!!! The kids went trick or treating 4 different times. First was at the Dublin Rec Center, then at daycare, then Boo at the Zoo and finally in our neighborhood! I wanted to get my money's worth out of the adorable costumes!! We had so much fun everytime.

My friend Shancie, her husband and their son Huxley came over for our Neighborhood trick or treat. Huxley and Cole are only 4 months apart in age and go to the same daycare. Cole is always talking about Huxley!!! When they got to our house so many of our neighbors thought that Huxley was Aidan...until they saw he was walking and Aidan was not! HA! The boys loved going up to the houses to get candy!! Cole would even say Trick or Treat! It was adorable.

Check out my bat and mouse and their friend Thomas the Train.

My little mouse Aidan...he was called a girl numerous times. UGH!!

My scary bat Cole!!!!!!

Aidan's First Haircut!!

We didn't quite make it as long to get Aidan's first haircut as we did Cole. Cole was about 15 months old when he got his, Aidan was 12 months old. They both sure have fast growing and thick hair. I think they get if from both sides of the family.

Here are a couple before pictures...I really didn't want all his curls to be cut off!!!

He was such a big boy and didn't cry at all. He loved playing with the comb!!! Enjoy the rest of the during and after shots!!! And his curls were still there!!!!

Columbus Marathon...No, I didn't run!!!

Our neighbor Lynn ran in her first Marathon in October. She did an Awesome Job!! We went to support her with our other neighbors Dan, Tess and their daughter Addison. We started the morning with breakfast at Paul's Pantry in Grandview! Then we trucked around the marathon route trying to see Lynn as many times as we could. The kids we so good getting in and out of the van and bundled up at each stop. At one point, Dan and Lynn's husband Andy decided to give her a little encouragment and ran with her...by the end Andy was wishing he had on shorts!!
Oh and Lynn had adorable T-Shirts made for all of her supporters!! We had numerous comments from other runners saying I wish I was Lynn for all our support.

Here are a few pictures.

Pumpkin Farm

We've started a family tradition to visit Circle S Farms in Grove City to pick out our pumpkins. They have lots for the kids to see and do. Cole loved the hay maze that was just his size. I was worried he'd be scared, but he loved running wild through it. This year our next door neighbor Lynn came with us. The kids love her...and her husband Andy too, but he wasn't able to come with us that day. We took a a hay ride out into the crops to pick our own pumpkins. Cole climb on the big John Deere tractor and the hay bails. The kids were so good that day, Lynn was almost considering having one of her own! Check out the pictures of our fun!!

Ok, I know...I have been SO bad at updating this!!!! My 2009 promise it to try and give an update every couple of weeks So be prepared to see numerous posts in the next couple of days to reflect as much as I can of what we've done over the last 4 months!!! Not sure they will be in order of when we did them, but I'll try my best!!!
